Thomas C. Schelling – Micromotives and Macrobehavior book review

In a nutshell (272 pages), some very important concepts will help you understand real-world situations a little better. This book is of the author’s work that led to a Nobel Prize in 2005.

What I got out of it

How do situations devolve or improve without an obvious outside force? How do one-off events create enormous repercussions? These are the sorts of questions that are answered.

What was difficult

Most ideas are very clear and well explained, but they can become technical. No matter, you will get insights out of the book.

Recommendation

Read the entire book, and get as much out of it as you can. If inclined, reread the book after giving yourself some time to digest the concepts and you’ll be rewarded.
